THE disintegration of Airbus UK Broughton's relegated squad continues with the transfer of Leon Clowes to Newtown.

A 25-year-old central defender who has represented the Welsh Under-17s on four occasions, Clowes first appeared in the Welsh Premier League when he was loaned by Wrexham to the Wingmakers for season 2010/11 having previously had a loan spell with Welshpool.

He returned to the Racecourse in May 2011 after penning a new one-year deal with his parent club, joining Bangor City in August 2014, before making a return to Airbus in January 2017.

Clowes has scored two goals from 86 (+2) WPL appearances.
