NEWLY-promoted Barry Town United and Prestatyn Town have both been handed home fixtures on the opening weekend of the new Welsh Premier League season.

The Dragons will host Aberystwyth Town, who narrowly avoided the drop last term, live on S4C while the Seasiders have a home fixture with Connah's Quay Nomads.

Champions The New Saints will be away to Bangor City in a Friday night curtain-raiser.

In a new development, a number of games will be shown on Facebook Live on Thursday nights during the season. The first two confirmed matches will feature Llandudno v Prestatyn on September 7 and Barry Town United v Carmarthen Town on September 21.
