THE Welsh Premier League's young player of the season for 2016/17, Henry Jones has left Bangor City to join AFC Fylde in the National League.

Attacking midfielder Jones, 23, has put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the Coasters with an option on a second year.

Jones signed his first professional contract with Swansea City in the summer of 2011 and captained the Under-21 side on a number of occasions in 2014-15 but did make a senior appearance at the Liberty Stadium.

Capped by Wales at Under-21 level, he signed for Bangor last August following his release by the Swans and went on to have an impressive campaign, scoring 10 goals from 27 WPL appearances.
