NICK Rushton, who spent the second half of last season on-loan at Newtown, has made a permanent move to Latham Park from Connah's Quay.

The 25-year-old striker was a member of Wrexham's successful Youth Alliance side before joining Airbus UK Broughton on-loan in August 2010. He returned to the Racecourse before the end of the season but then joined Newtown for the first time on-loan in August 2011.

Rushton made more than 20 appearances for Wrexham the following season scoring four goals but was allowed to join Barrow on a three-month loan deal in September 2013 after starting the campaign out of favour.

He scored 16 goals during an extended spell with the Cumbrians and, after penning another deal at Wrexham, was loaned to Hednesford Town before joining the Nomads in May 2015.

Rushton has notched 37 goals from 87 (+21) Welsh Premier appearances.
