KAYNE McLaggon has returned to Barry Town United, 12 years after leaving the club as a 14-year-old to join the Southampton academy.

A Welsh Under-17 and Under-19 cap, the Barry-born 26-year-old went on to make seven first team appearances for the Saints but, after a long term injury and a loan spell with Eastbourne Borough, was released and signed for Salisbury City in August 2010. A little under a year later, McLaggon joined Bristol Rovers but only made one appearance and signed for Weston-super-Mare in September 2012.

In October 2013, he moved on to Merthyr Town from where he rejoins the Dragons after four successful seasons.

"Kayne is an experienced player who adds much quality to our already talented squad," says Barry boss Gavin Chesterfield. "He is a player I have wanted to work with for some time and I am delighted to finally have him with us".
