LUKE Sherbon has announced on Twitter that he is leaving Aberystwyth Town after spending a total of 14 seasons at Park Avenue.
The 30-year-old midfielder has twice left Aberystwyth to join Barry Town, but returned to Park Avenue in late 2004 and was a regular member of the first team squad until signing for Rhyl in January 2009.
A Welsh semi-professional international, he left Belle Vue in August 2009 to return to Aberystwyth and spent the following summer playing for Dandenong Thunder in Australia's Victoria Premier League.
After a few months back in the UK, Sherbon moved down under again in February 2011 and won the 2012 VPL Grand Final with Dandenong and then moved to rivals Bentleigh Greens.
He returned to Aberystwyth again in January 2014 and has scored 62 goals from 263 (+17) WPL appearances.
After 14 years on and off it's time to leave @AberystwythTown. All the best for the future, great club and good people ⯑— Luke sherbon (@LSherbon) June 3, 2017
