NEWTOWN'S five-match winning run came to an end at Latham Park as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Llandudno.

And the Robins looked headed for defeat until the Welsh Premier's leading scorer, Jason Oswell, swept home a shot for his 17th goal of the season with the last kick of the game.

Danny Hughes curled a superb shot into the top corner from outside the box to open the visitors' account on 14 minutes, but the Robins levelled when Luke Boundford headed home at the far post from an Alex Fletcher cross on 27 minutes.

Ben Jago hit the post for the Seasiders after the break and Marc Williams headed home the rebound from an offside position. Nicky Rushton hooked a shot into the bar for Newtown before Llandudno restored their lead, Danny Shaw taking the ball down on his chest before volleying home after Mike Williams had headed-on a Sam Hart free-kick.

Newtown had chances to equalise, Oswell just failing to connect at close range with a Rushton cross and Dave Roberts then making a superb save against his former club to deny Rushton before Oswell's late goal salvaged a point.
