THE students of Cardiff Met University retained top spot in Welsh League Division One with a 2-0 away win at Penybont.

Charlie Corsby and Harry Hope scored the goals that kept Christian Edwards' side two points clear of second-placed Haverfordwest County.

The Bluebirds, who have a game in hand on their rivals, were 2-0 winners at home to Briton Ferry Llansawel.

Kieran Howard's fourth-minute free-kick was met with an overhead kick from Jordan Follows for the first goal but were forced to wait until the final minute for the clincher when Nicky Palmer set-up Luke Borrelli, whose shot was parried by visiting keeper Luke Probert but slithered over the line.
