GOYTRE are level on points at the top of the Welsh League with Cardiff Met University as previous leaders Goytre United went down 2-1 at Taffs Well, Tommy Mac and Jason Bertorelli scoring the home goals.

The students beat Risca United 1-0 while Goytre remain ahead on goal difference after edging past Caerau Ely 4-3, Leo Ross scoring on debut with Kris Leek grabbing two and Jordan Harding also on the scoresheet.

Afan Lido moved up to fourth with a 2-0 Friday night win over Ton Pentre thanks to goals from Carlos Indjai and Kane Owen with a distance strike.

Despite yet being able to play at home while a 3G pitch is laid at Jenner Park, Barry Town United are fifth with a 1-0 win at Cambrian & Clydach thanks to an injury time goal from James Dixon.

Penybont beat Aberdare Town 5-0, Joe Hopkins, Cullen Kinsella, Anthony Rawlings with a brace and Marcus Griffiths the goal scorers.

Aberbargoed Buds beat Briton Ferry Llansawel 4-2 while Monmouth Town won by the odd goal in five at home to Garden Village. Richard Greaves claimed two alongside another from Nick Harrhy for the Kingfishers.
