FORMER Welsh Premier defender Cortez Belle has joined Taffs Well in Welsh League Division One.

The 32-year-old left Port Talbot Town in October last year to Merthyr Town after making 133 (+4) career Welsh Premier appearances and scoring 34 goals for his various clubs.

Belle had scored 44 goals in two seasons for Merthyr Tydfil in his first spell with the club and then joined Chester City but was allowed to go to Newport County on loan in March 2005.

The move was made permanent and Belle remained at Spytty Park until a move to Llanelli in 2005.

Released in the summer of 2007 Belle joined Halifax Town, later moving to Northwich Victoria and Chippenham Town. He rejoined Merthyr in 2009 and re-emerged in the Welsh Premier with Port Talbot in August 2011.

After two seasons with the Steelmen he moved to Carmarthen in June 2013 and was loaned to Gap Connah's Quay towards the end of the season, before moving back to the GenQuip Stadium.
