MARKSMAN Mark Jones has returned to Afan Lido, the club where he started his career as a youth.

Jones, 28, spent the latter part of last season on-loan to Aberystwyth Town from his parent club Carmarthen, allegedly for disciplinary reasons, adding three more goals in a Welsh Premier League tally of 80 from 188 (+40) appearances.

After spending time with the Cardiff City academy, Jones returned to Lido, where he top scored in the club's Welsh League campaign before joining Llanelli in September 2007.

He was back at the Marstons' Stadium again on-loan a year later, rejoining the Reds in January 2009, but was released in the summer, moving to Port Talbot Town.

Another return to Lido in October 2009 lasted three years before Jones signed for Aberystwyth Town on 31 December 2012. He spent three and a half seasons with the Black & Greens before joining the Old Gold in June 2015.
