CWMBRAN Celtic have made assistant boss Lee Challenger manager following the resignation of Dean Morris, who had been in charge for 11 months.

Former Ton Pentre boss Morris stepped down because of all illness in his family. "It has become apparent that he is not going to be able to devote sufficient time to running the first team and the club fully understands family comes first," says a statement from Celtic.

Morris guided the club into Welsh League Division One, winning the last 10 games last season.

Challenger has been with Celtic for 15 years as a player and will be assisted by Rakesh Patel as player-coach and Rhys Williams as assistant.
