S4C has chosen the match between Barry Town United and The New Saints as its live TV game from the Welsh Cup fourth round.

The tie will be broadcast from Jenner Park on Saturday 6 February 2016 with a 17:15 kick-off.

The game is a repeat of the 1996 final, when the full time professionals of Barry Town were surprisingly beaten by the Saints, who were then known as Llansantffraid FC.

Barry have since fallen on hard times, but have re-emerged to gain successive promotions back into the Welsh Football League Division 1 and have also applied for a domestic licence with the hope of being promoted back into the Welsh Premier League.

"The draw unearths great memories of games between the clubs from yesteryear and for me this is a game befitting of the competition," says Barry manager Gaving Chesterfield.

"We accept that we go into this game as huge underdogs, given The New Saints' full-time status and continued success, but we are here to embrace the challenge. TNS are a very good team, but in the cup anything can happen. "We will as always prepare well and our players and back room team will relish this opportunity."
