CAERNARFON Town will represent the second tier in the Welsh Cup semi-finals after a 7-0 away thrashing of fellow Huws Gray Alliance outfit Llanfair United.
The visitors were two goals to the good inside the first 12 minutes through Gareth Edwards and Kevin Lloyd, with Edwards and Jamie Breese adding further goals before half-time. Breese grabbed his second after the break with Darren Thomas and Clive Williams completing the rout.
But another Alliance outfit, Guilsfield, were unable to repeat the heroics of their fourth round win over Cardiff Met, losing 3-0 at home to Bala Town. Ryan Wade steered a corner into the net just before half time and Chris Venables added a second on 79 minutes, before John Irving sealed the victory in the final minute,
Holders The New Saints were given a scare by Bangor City at Park Hall. Despite having Yalany Baio sent-off in the 88th-minute of a scoreless 90, the Citizens took the lead in extra-time through Henry Jones.
But Greg Draper levelled on the stroke of half-time in extra-time and Adrian Cieslewicz netted the winner four minutes before a penalty shoot-out would have been required.
