WELSH League Division One leaders Goytre have been thrown out of the Welsh Cup following a breach of rules.

The alleged rule breach occurred in Goytre's third round fixture at Llandudno on December 3, which they won 2-0.

Goytre stated on the team sheet and match report form that registered player Ben Evans played in the number 11 shirt in the match, but it was alleged that the player in the number 11 shirt was actually Mathew McDonald.

Goytre admitted that this was the case in writing and in person at a National Game Board meeting held in Cardiff today and the board ruled that the match should be declared null and void and that Llandudno be reinstated to play Bangor City on in the fourth round on January 28.

Goytre FC's prize money has been withheld and the matter has been referred to the Compliance Department for disciplinary action against the club and the player.
