A NEAR-900 mile round trip proved fruitless for Elgin City, who crashed 4-0 as The New Saints cruised into the fourth round of the Irn-Bru Cup at Park Hall.

Greg Draper gave TNS an early lead when he crashed home a great shot from just inside the box and the advantage was doubled when Jamie Mullan crossed from the left edge of the box for Aeron Edwards to head home at the far post.

Ryan Brobbel headed-on a right wing cross for Mullan to fire home the third goal from 12 yards just before the break and, on the hour mark, Adrian Cieslewicz slipped past his market before passing to Draper who easily beat keeper Black & Whites' keeper Marc Waters from close range.

Below: Greg Draper celebrates after scoring his second goal.
