FORMER Wrexham and Chester defender Blaine Hudson has signed for The New Saints.

A former Norwich City schoolboy who was released after six years with Cambridge United, 6' 3" Hudson, 24, joined Wrexham in May 2014 and scored seven goals from 73 appearances, but was not offered a new contract by then manager Kevin Wilkin.

He was one of six players released by Chester earlier this month after scoring twice from 30 National League appearances.

Hudson fills the gap left by the departure of Phil Baker after 12 seasons with TNS, who have released 20-year-old defender James Jones after four (+4) senior appearances.
