MIDFIELDER Chris Seargeant and wing back Chris Marriott will both miss the second leg of the Champions League qualifier as The New Saints bid to overturn a 2-1 deficit against Europa FC in Faro's Estadio Algarve on Tuesday night.

Seargeant has been involved in a car accident while Marriott has failed to recover from the knee injury that ruled him out of the first leg defeat.

"It wasn't a serious car crash, but he had to go to hospital to be checked out," says TNS manager Scott Ruscoe. "I think he suffered a bit of whiplash. He wasn't in a good state and he felt groggy, so we took the decision out of his hands.

"It wouldn't have been good for him to travel and be on a plane, so he's stayed behind."

TNS must score at least twice if they are to set-up a second qualifying round clash with Croatians HNK Rijeka.
