GARETH "Perry" Thomas has been appointed as the new manager of Conwy Borough, who were relegated from the Huws Gray Alliance at this season.

The experienced Thomas latterly managed Denbigh Town to third place in the Alliance, also reaching the Word Cup final in 2015/16. He has also been in charge of Halkyn United, Mynydd Isa, Buckley Town and FC Nomads of Connah's Quay.

"I am delighted to join the club after accepting the manager's position," Thomas says. "After meeting the board early in the week the challenge to get Conwy Borough back into the Huws Gray Cymru Alliance is one I couldn’t turn down.

"The club is ambitious and, after a poor season which resulted in relegation, they have set out the long term plans, and its a challenge I’m looking forward to."
