GOALKEEPER Scott James has left Haverfordwest County because of a change in his family circumstances and has decided to play football nearer to his Newport, Gwent home.

James, 26, played for Newport County before leaving to join Goytre in the Welsh League. He then signed for Carmarthen Town in January 2014 but moved to the newly-promoted Bluebirds in May and had made 15 Welsh Premier appearances for the club.

County have a ready-made replacement in the experience Craig Morris, who signed as goalkeeping cover for Aberystwyth in the summer of 2006 from Trostre FC, but didn't make a WPL appearance for the Black & Greens.

Morris joined Neath Athletic and was ever-present during their first Welsh Premier season, impressing home town club Llanelli who signed him in July 2008.

He returned to The Gnoll in May 2010 but was released 12 months later and returned to Trostre before joining Afan Lido in January 2012.

Morris returned to Llanelli in June 2012 but rejoined Haverfordwest from Merthyr Town at the beginning of the 2014/15 season and has made 114 WPL appearances.
