HEAVY rain in north Wales has caused the postponement of the Boxing Day clash between Rhyl and Bala Town due to a waterlogged pitch at Belle Vue.

The 3G pitch at Maesdu Park should have ensured that Llandudno's first-ever Welsh Premier fixture against Bangor City went ahead, but the match has been called-off due to severe flooding on the A55 between Bangor and Llandudno.

But the Deeside Stadium passed two inspections this morning and the Flintshire derby between Gap Connah's Quay and Airbus UK Broughton goes ahead.
