RHYL hit back from two goals down to rescue a precious point against basement neighbours Prestatyn Town in front of a festive crowd of 1,017 at Belle Vue, the Welsh Premier's highest gate of the season.
Michael Walsh hit the side netting following a free kick in an early Rhyl attack, but it was Prestatyn who took the lead in the sixth minute.
Andy Parkinson's shot was well saved by keeper Alex Ramsay, but Zyaac Edwards netted from the rebound.
Visiting keeper Scott Williams made a superb one-handed save from an Aaron Bowen header that was destined for the back of the net.
Ryan Astles curled a shot just wide for the Lilywhites and Williams saved well from Stott as the hosts piled on the pressure.
Prestatyn doubled their lead when Liam Benson headed into his own goal from a Ross Stephens corner.
But Rhyl got the goal their pressure had deserved when Ryan Astles scored four minutes before the break, when he also headed home from a corner.
Mike Pritchard should have restored the Seasiders' two-goal cushion when he headed over from close range from another flag kick early in the second period.
Stephens flashed a 30-yard free kick just wide of the home goal but it was Rhyl who scored next when Ashley Stott beat the offside trap before looping a shot over Williams.
Williams saved from Tom Rowlands who wriggled his way past three markers and Stephens saw a shot for Prestatyn do just wide.
Rowlands went close again but, as the heavens opened, neither side was able to find a winning goal.
