LLANELLI hit back from a goal down to beat Bala Town 2-1 at Maes Tegid and move within two points of today's opponents - and a place in the top six.
In miserable conditions, neither side could find a way through in the first half, but Mark Jones finally broke the deadlock on the hour, creating space just outside the box to send a shot into the net.
The visitors started to have more of the play after the break and it took a superb save by former Llanelli keeper Ashley Morris to keep out a Martin Rose header.
But, after Morris had punched clear from a right wing corner on 80 minutes, Antonio Corbisiero returned the ball with interest with a superb strike into the far corner.
And, five minutes later, Rose had the simplest of tap-ins to seal an excellent victory for the cash-strapped visitors.
Afan Lido won the relegation six-pointer at Latham Park, to move within three points of fellow strugglers Newtown.
Mark Jones handed the Seasiders the lead after 38 minutes, but Nicky Ward restored parity on the stroke of half time.
But defender Paul Evans grabbed a vital winner for Paul Reid's men 11 minutes from time.
