HAVING received an approach from Newtown for defender Adam Worton, Aberystwyth Town have served seven days' notice of approach for Robins' defender turned striker Luke Boundford.

Previously with Newbridge-on-Wye, the 24-year-old joined Newtown in the summer of 2011 and has since made 36 (+4) Welsh Premier appearances, scoring 10 goals.

Meanwhile, Newtown have agreed to release striker Elliot Jones back to Montgomery Town with immediate effect.

An academy product who is still a member of Newtown's youth team, Jones is available for selection for the Mid Wales League Boxing Day crunch match between Montgomery and Llanidloes Town.
