Gareth EvansFORMER Cefn Druids' defender Gareth Evans has signed for Los Angeles Blues in preparation for their debut season in the United Soccer Leagues Professional Division in the USA.
A product of the Wolves youth academy, the 23-year-old was spotted by his hometown club Wrexham while playing for the Druids, where he made six full and 25 substitute appearances in the Welsh Premier in season 2003/4.
After making 40 appearances and being awarded a new two-year contract at the Racecourse in the summer of 2007, he joined Northwich Victoria on loan in September 2007 and then Tamworth.
After moving to the United States he played for the Austin Aztex in the USL First Division before joining Vauxhall Motors in November 2009.
Evans captained Real Maryland Monarchs last season and was a finalist in the USL2 defender of the year award before agreeing a short-term deal with Chester.
