Vics' captain Kearney joins the Wingmakers

AIRBUS UK Broughton have today completed the signing of Northwich Victoria captain Ian Kearney. 

The Wingmakers and the Vics were able to come to an undisclosed agreement for the player and he will join the Broughton outfit with immediate effect.

A right-sided or central defender, Kearney becomes the seventh player from last season's Northwich squad to link-up again with former manager Andy Preece.

Kearney was previously with Southport, Radcliffe Borough, Witton Albion and Ashton United.

"We welcome Ian to The Airfield and hope the supporters at Airbus see it as a sign of intent to improve on last year's position," says chief operating officer Stewart Roberts.

Jim Rushe of Northwich also wished Kearney well and thanked him for his service at Vics.
