Bala's leading scorer moves to Druids

Craig GarsideELEMENTS Cefn Druids have signed Bala Town's leading scorer last season, Gary Penlington.
The marksman's 21 goals were instrumental in the Lakesiders' surge to the Cymru Alliance title and Welsh Premier promotion.
A prolific scorer in the second tier of the pyramid for Ruthin Town, Denbigh Town and Lex XI as well as Bala, Penlington found himself forced down the pecking order at Maes Tegid following the arrival of former TNS striker John Toner.
"He's hungry and wants to do well here," says Druids' joint manager Waynne Phillips. "Being Bala's leading scorer last season and scoring so many goals at that level shows he has the ability. "We're pleased to have signed him. We lost Mark Stewart but feel he is the ideal replacement for him."
