Mel McGuinnessLLANDUDNO missed the chance to close the gap on the Cymru Alliance leaders on Wednesday night as they went down 1-0 at home to Mold Alexandra, thanks to a 47th-minute goal from Owain Roberts.
But Holyhead Hotspur hit form ahead of their Welsh Cup visit to Llanelli on Saturday, thumping Bethesda Athletic 5-0 at the New Oval.
Former Bangor City midfielder Mel McGuinness (pictured) grabbed a hat-trick, with Kenleigh Owen and Dean Garmey also on the scoresheet.
Taffs Well maintained there recent good run of form in Welsh League Division One, building on Saturday's 4-0 defeat of Caerleon by drawing 4-4 at leaders Goytre United.
Cambrian & Clydach drew 1-1 at Ton Pentre while, on Tuesday night, promotion hopefuls Barry Town were rocked 2-1 at home by Bridgend Town.
