RHYL manager Niall McGuinness has put pen to paper on a new contract which will keep him at Belle Vue until the summer of 2018.

The youngest manager in the Welsh Premier League, the 25-year-old took charge for the last eight games of last season and, although the Lilywhites finished in the relegation zone, they were spared the drop after Port Talbot Town failed to gain a domestic licence on appeal.

This season, McGuinness has overhauled the playing squad and Rhyl are currenly just three points off a place in the top six.

"Niall fully understands how the club operates behind the scenes and appreciates the hard work and dedication of the volunteers to fight to keep this club alive," says club managing director Mike Jones.

"Niall has produced some positive results and performances this season under limited financial resources and has assembled a hungry young team of players willing to play and fight for the badge of the Lilywhites."
