Marc GriffithsBALA Town striker Marc Griffiths has left Maes Tegid to return to Technogroup Welshpool in search of first-team football.
Griffiths, who played a part in the Lakesiders' promotion to the Cymru Alliance last season, has been starved of first-team opportunities this season, making just three full Welsh Premier appearances and nine from the bench, scoring once in a 2-1 home win over his new club in December.
The 25-year-old made a couple of league appearances for Welshpool in 2002/3 and joined Cefn Druids in 2004/5.
He then played for Ellesmere Rangers before switching to Bala, where manager Colin Caton is expected to move for an additional striker during the January transfer window.
"Marc has been supported in leaving to secure first team football at Welshpool Town and everyone at Bala thanks him for his service and wishes him well for the future," says a statement from Maes Tegid.
