Kieran QuinnFORMER Wrexham youth Kieran Quinn is the first big name to leave Elements Cefn Druids following the recent cut in the playing budget.
The 23-year-old midfielder had appeared 13 times in the Welsh Premier for the Ancients this season after joining in the summer from Gap Connah's Quay.
Quinn signed for Caernarfon Town in 2005 following his release from Wrexham, where he spent three years as a trainee without ever breaking into the first team.
He moved to the Nomads in July 2008 and has made 102 (+6) league appearances.
Goalkeeper Chris Mullock is the subject of seven days' notice of approach from Newtown but better news for Druids' management duo Lee Jones and Waynne Phillips is that striker Gary Penlington, who scored the Boxing Day equaliser at Airbus UK Broughton, has turned down an approach from Cymru Alliance Caernarfon Town.
"I am pleased Gary is staying with us," says Phillips.
"Caernarfon would probably have offered more money, but he wanted to stay and play in the Welsh Premier."
